In order to provide you with the level of vision coverage that best fits the needs of you and your family, we offer two vision plan options: the VSP Base plan and the VSP Buy-Up plan.
Vision PPO
With both plans, you have the option to visit a VSP network doctor or a non-network doctor. However, when you visit a network doctor, you will receive a higher level of benefit. When you visit a network doctor, you are not required to complete any paperwork, including claim forms. In addition, you don’t need an ID card to visit a network doctor. Simply call to schedule an appointment and the doctor and VSP handle the rest!
If you elect to visit a non-network doctor, you will be required to pay the provider in full at the time of service. VSP will then reimburse you up to the amount allowed under our non-network reimbursement schedule.
Vision Discounts
In addition to the vision benefits provided through your benefits program, VSP offers special discounts on a number of non-covered services, such as additional pairs of glasses, special lens options and LASIK surgery.
